Photojournalism

Upon exiting the house, I found the garage to be in a disarray. It turns out, my dad was doing some house cleaning just outside of the garage.
Tools like pliers and wrenches were all scattered about the floor.  I was careful to walk through the mess cautiously to not disturb his peace.
Dad working steadfastly, changing the oil to my car and even making sure that there is no leftover residue on the floor.
Dad always finds himself occupied with things to do around the house. This time, I find him power washing the driveway. He fires the streams of water intensely, furies of water dance across the driveway as if they were in a maddening storm. There is never a lack of things to do, always productive, busy yet happy.
"It is the working man who is the happy man. It is the idle man who is the miserable man" (Benjamin Franklin).
My dad's drenched yet battered work shoes propped against the steps waiting to dry.
His jeans are sitting idly at the stairwell basking in the afternoon sun.  As the saying goes, " Taking off your pants after a long day = best feeling ever" (Unknown source).
